  • Measure B amends the Alameda County charter to expand elected officials subject to recall by voters.

  • Currently, voters can recall Board of Supervisors members. The amendment would enable recall elections for the elected Auditor-Controller/Clerk-Recorder and District Attorney as well.

  • If passed, the District Attorney and Auditor-Controller would face the same potential of a recall election by petition as supervisors.

  • The change provides voters greater accountability mechanisms.

  • The measure was placed on the ballot by the Board of Supervisors and requires majority approval to be enacted.
